Upcoming Events

Mother Nature hasn’t exactly been reading from our playbook this season. With a lighter snowpack and early spring already giving off summer vibes, it’s been a year of adjusting expectations and making the most of what we’ve got.

Still, she has a way of doing things on her own terms, reminding us that she always knows her place, she’s got style, she’s got grace, she’s a winner, and even in a lean year, there are moments that keep us sliding, smiling, and looking ahead to what’s next.

Check out these upcoming events at “Your Mountain Home”! You’re not going to want to miss them!

Summer Job board

Since not every business can attend in person—and job searching often takes time—we’ve created (and will continue to update) a summer job board on our team site.

We know the search process can feel overwhelming at times, but staying persistent and taking advantage of the resources available can make all the difference in finding a great fit.

With much of the groundwork already done, this is a convenient place to explore local employment opportunities for the off-season and get a head start on what’s next.

March Stoke Vehicle Winners

Matt Stretch – Facilities Maintenance Tech II

Luis Cruz DeJesus, Slope Groomer

Congratulation to Stretch & Luis on being this months Toyota Stoke Winners! Thank you for keeping the stoke high and always stepping up when it counts!

Find The Frame Challenge

We tested this out over the summer with Where in the Woods, and with the positive feedback (and some fresh snow in the forecast!), it’s time to bring it to the winter season.

What it is: Each edition will feature a photo of a spot somewhere on our mountain — a waterfall, rock outcropping, scenic view, trail section, or other recognizable feature, along with a clue or two to help narrow it down.

Think you know where it is? Head out, find the location, recreate the shot (same angle or close to it), and send it in, or swing by HR and show off your photo and win a prize – plus bragging rights!

***No one found this last week, so I’m leaving it up a bit longer!”***

Start your search riding up on a quasar,
Through winters glow where cold winds spar.

When banked turns carve from right to left,
Find the lip where winds have cleft.

The twins await just out of sight,
Not quite steep, but not quite slight.

Below the garden of rock lined trail,
Snap the frame to tell your tale.

Après Etiquette: Team Edition

While we love that you love it so much here that you want to spend your off-the-clock hours patronizing the establishments, we have recently noticed a pattern of less-than-desirable behavior at our watering holes.

To avoid getting 86’d (and possibly terminated!) please keep the following in mind:

Bar Rule Basics – Team Members Must:

  • Be off the clock
  • Be out of every uniform piece including anything issued by the company/Mt. Hood Meadows branded
  • Have their ID ready and available to show at any time while in the bars and/or drinking on property
  • Not ask for “freebies” or “hook-ups”

Team Members may be 86’ed from the bars if they fail to follow the rules or argue with bartenders. Access to employee bars is a privilege and can be revoked at any time. Additionally, there is no free or discounted alcohol for anyone.

Guest Survey Comments

“Beautiful place to ski…. I was injured on Friday the 6th.  The patrollers who helped me were outstanding. I had a smooth ride down to medical. The clinic staff were outstanding as well.”

“Karen is the best liftie ever. Great attitude, assertive, clear, and smart enough to handle the hecticness of the Meadows crowd.”

“I love Meadows!”

“You provide a solid area & experience.  Snow has the biggest influence, that’s not on you…keep up the good work”

“1st season pass at Meadows. Even with the bad winter, everyone at Meadows is awesome.”

“I want to say a huge thank you to everyone especially the groomers for making this season happen. There’s been barely any snow and you folks have all done an amazing jobs of getting things open, keeping the most important areas covered and making it all happen. I’ve got like 20 days in so far and it’s really been a fun season of skiing for me and my family. Thank you!”

“Y’all keep killing it season after season, and the low scores given don’t have anything to do with employee performance, but everything to do with how our snowpack has been this season. I know y’all are doing everything in your power to keep things open and running smoothly, and I greatly appreciate it.”

“PUT SOME MUSIC IN THE BATHROOMS> Some noises just are not supposed to be heard.”

“It was a great day!  Thank you Meadows for everything you do!’”

“The grooming at your Nordic center has been impeccable this year. I have really enjoyed going there with my season pass. Also, today your crew performed miracles on HRM and getting it open. I wish I had known the parking lot was open and would have avoided the traffic jam going to the main lot. However, the little bus came at the right time to take us from the end of the main lot up to the lodge. The driver was very friendly and answered my questions.”

“Awesome experience for the first time. Snow was a bit slushy at first, and then began to freeze over, but its March so I’m not mad. Workers were super friendly and helpful at explaining everything. Overall great experience. I enjoyed myself.”

Drop Off Those Unused Uniform Items!

Tired of those unused mid layers taking up space in your locker?

No longer using the company pants now that it’s warmed up a bit?

Is being responsible for hundreds of dollars of unused gear keeping you up at night?

Clear up that space and ease your mind – while also helping out HR in the process – by dropping these items off early in the bin in front of Uniforms.
